The Rev'd Edward Ihde, Rector

Father Edward Ihde was ordained as priest in the Anglican Church in America on November 17, 2012 by the Most Rev. Brian Marsh, Bishop in order to serve Saint Nicholas Anglican Church in West Seneca, NY.  Fr. Ed also serves on the Standing Committee for the Diocese of the Northeast in the Anglican Church in America. In 2017, Bishop Marsh appointed Fr. Ihde as Dean of the West and as a member of the Examining Chaplains for the Diocese of the Northeast. He was ordained deacon on February 13, 1988 at Saint Paul's Cathedral in Buffalo, NY.  Before coming to the ACA, Fr. Ed served the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York under Bishops Harold Robinson, David Bowman and  J. Michael Garrison.

In his secular life Mr. lhde retired in 2015 as Senior Vice President of Walter S. Johnson Building Co. Inc., a major employer in Niagara Falls, New York. In this capacity he headed up the Engineering and Construction Management Division and was the chief estimator and senior project manager on staff.  Currently Fr. Ihde is employed by Elderwood Development in a part time capacity as a general estimator and architectural resource for new projects and developments.

 

His educational background includes Erie County Technical Institute 1970 and the University of Buffalo, Engineering Science Department 1973 and Computer Engineering 1993 and Bishop Henry Brent School of Ministry 1987. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Deacon Phillip Cunningham is our curate and pastoral assistant. As a transitional deacon within the Anglican Church in America Diocese of the Northeast, Dcn. Phillip is preparing for ordination to the priesthood. Deacon Phillip is a graduate of Canisius College where he received a BA in Political Science and is a Masters Candidate 2017 at the University at Buffalo SUNY where his final thesis focuses on the interaction between the Westminster political model and the Anglican tradition. In 2017, he plans to pursue a Masters of Theological Studies at Nashotah House Theological Seminary. Dcn. Cunningham is a member of the Society of King Charles the Martyr and is a member of the Society of Mary within the Ward of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour based at St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Dunwoody, GA.

In his professional life, Deacon Phillip is the Administrator of Stella Niagara for the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity - a 134 acre Roman Catholic Convent, K-8th grade school, Health Center and Retreat center located in Lewiston, NY.

Deacon Cunningham and his family live in Buffalo, NY.
