The Ugandan Water Project is a humanitarian effort that places rainwater collection tanks on community buildings throughout the East African nation of Uganda.
In May 2007 a chance meeting at a neighborhood barbecue brought James Harrington of Lima, NY and George Nsamba of Kawanda, Uganda together for the first time. That first conversation sparked a curiosity that grew into a conviction that something had to be done to help make a difference in the lives of Ugandans. James introduced George to his friend Derek Joseph and together the three men began to explore various options for impacting the East African nation in a significant way.
